Hard reset Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Hard reset Samsung Galaxy Note 2

  • From the Note 2 home screen, select Settings.
  • Once inside the settings application tap Storage.
  • Scroll to the bottom and tap Factory Data Reset.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and select Erase Everything.
  • Finally, confirm that this is what you actually want to do by tapping Yes.
  • Your Galaxy Note 2 will now reset.

If that doesn't work, try this:

  • Turn the power off. If your Note is frozen or sluggish pull the battery out and reinsert it.
  • Hold the Volume Down button.
  • Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on.
  • You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastboot, Recovery and Clear Storage.
  • Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button.
  • Press and release the Power button.
  • Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for Yes and Volume Down for No.
  • Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory state. Everything should then be all good!
